Both the government and the industry are keenly promoting the use of electronic signatures. It is assumed that the widespread use of electronic signatures will encourage greater use of the internet as a means to buy goods and services. Part two of an article looking at the evidential issues relating to electronic signatures, illustrating the weakness of the infrastructure, which in turn highlights the risks that both users and recipients encounter when using electronic signatures. Published in Amicus Curiae - Journal of the Society for Advanced Legal Studies. The Journal is produced by the Society for Advanced Legal Studies at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, University of London.
