Interview with Mr Archie JESSEP. Born 6 July 1913, West Ham, London. Joined Smith Brothers at 15; 'red button' at 16, 'blue button' at 18, authorised dealer at 21. Involved in D-Day landings during Second World War. Returned to Smith Brothers. Partner in 1950. Became a member of the Stock Exchange in 1946.
