Globalization, Law Schools and Law Libraries
Globalization of legal research and education will be briefly noted. Law library services with international scope are increasingly important in successful legal research and the education and training of lawyers. National, regional and international law library associations have a vital role in supporting librarians to develop those services for their institutions. The International Association of Law Libraries promotes law librarianship and facilitates the exchange of legal information worldwide. Its activities include annual courses in international law librarianship, grants / scholarships and internship programs, the International Journal of Legal Information, the recently published IALL International Handbook of Legal Information Management, and the future development of online training materials.
