Two letters, from the England Foreign Office, dated 20 February 1845 and 5 November 1845, both signed 'Aberdeen'. The first letter instructs the recipient to negotiate with Juan Manuel José Domingo Ortiz de Rosas to end his hostilities against Montevideo and to restore peace throughout Uruguay; the second letter follows up the first, stating that the recipient had satisfactorily carried out the duties described above. Possibly published Montevideo, 1846
