Dear Jack,
John Poster thought that you might be
interested in seeing the enclosed copy of a
letter from an undergraduate at Harvard from the
point of view of the state of feeling in American
universities.     The background is that Ordway,
whose name is mentioned in the letter, came to
see me with a strong recommendation from Hume
./rong in the Canadian Legation and put forward
ideas for the creation of a group of young men
from Harvard and other eastern universities who
would go to England to do some form of social work
there.     They were a very decent lot of young men
and we are doing what we can to find some way
of using their services, though it seems a little
difficult to find a niche to fit them into.
