The extent to which Corporate Governance may be successfully implemented by the Business Community: the role of Public Entities and Non profit-making Organisations.
Masters thesis, Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, School of Advanced Study.
Drawing on empirical research, this dissertation seeks to establish that the concept of corporate governance could be employed by public entities and non-profit making entities differently. The author argues that profit-making organisations will conduct their businesses with a view to maximizing their profits and in doing so they may be required to compromise the requirements of corporate governance, whereas the concept may be successfully implemented by non-profit making organisations.
